Suruchi Upadhyay (she/her)

Senior Proposal Writer

I believe everybody is born free and equal. I really want to make an impact, I really want to change lives, that’s what I am hoping for and that’s what I want to do.”

Suruchi is a Senior proposal writer with a strong passion for changing lives. She works as a Program Manager at Includovate. She has worked on several projects with I/NGOs and UN agencies in the field of gender and has research experience in remote areas of Nepal, India and Ethiopia.

In 2018, Suruchi contributed to qualitative research with IFAD in Ethiopia for a Pastoral Community Development Project from a partnership programme with Columbia University and IFAD. Her study was to understand the root causes of gender disparity, investigate the existing gender differences affecting the lives of (agro) pastoralists women in the Afar region and creating strategies to empower women in the pastoral societies.

Through this research she was selected from among 70 students worldwide to present her research at the Sixth Annual International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) at Columbia University, New York in 2018. Suruchi has a Bachelors in Business Administration and pursued her Master in Sustainable Development Practice. She will continue to increase the overall success in leading and managing projects at Includovate with her enthusiasm, leadership and team building skills.
