Elsabeth Belay (she/her)

 “My sister, Biruktawit Belay, is a woman I greatly admire because of her passion and perseverance in life. Despite any challenges, she sees failures as learning opportunities and always remains positive making her a great role model.“

 Elsabeth is the Managing Director of the Ethiopian Includovate office and the Head of Programs. She often deals with senior actors such as government officials, maintains strong engagement with Includovate Australia and establishes rapport with clients. Elsabeth received her Bachelor of Laws from Addis Ababa University in 2012. She is experienced in program management and research. 

In her time at Includovate, she has undertaken policy analysis amidst her program management duties and occasional research duties. Throughout her varied career, she has occupied many different positions and titles in her work advocating for girl’s education whilst building her extensive knowledge of research methods and data collection. Elsabeth is driven by the inequality and injustices that she has personally seen or faced relating to gender, disability and the like. 

 Her values greatly align with Includovate’s vision and her belief in the public good motivates her daily. She can speak two languages fluently, English and Amharic.
