Andrea Mrazova is a Senior Research Associate at Includovate, specialising in human rights, migration, and protection of vulnerable populations. She holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Czech Republic and a European Master’s in Human Rights from the Global Campus on Human Rights, Italy. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Griffith University, Australia.
Andrea has extensive field experience supporting migrants, asylum seekers, unaccompanied children, and victims of trafficking, torture, and gender-based violence. She has worked as a human rights lawyer in NGOs across the Czech Republic and Spain, and as a consultant for UNHCR, monitoring conditions in immigration detention and asylum reception centres. Andrea also contributed to research for the EU Fundamental Rights Agency and conducted studies on the rights of North Korean refugees in South Korea. She worked as an Assistant Team Lead in a UNICEF Malaysia project, providing training and capacity building for seven city councils in Malaysia within the Child-Friendly Cities Initiative. She is the Vice-Chair of Includovate’s Institutional Review Board and regularly conducts safeguarding training for subcontractors, ensuring the protection of vulnerable groups. Her recent work on procedural rights of LGBTI asylum seekers in the EU was published internationally as a book chapter by Springer.
