We began with a bold belief: that inclusion isn’t charity—it’s innovation. Includovate was founded to challenge the structures that exclude, silence, and sideline too many voices from research, policy, and progress.
As a certified social enterprise, our mission is woven into every project and partnership. We invest a portion of our profits into training and elevating researchers from low- and middle-income countries and marginalised groups—not as assistants, but as thought leaders. We support them to lead research, publish high-quality ethical research and design solutions, with the inputs of international experts who contribute their methodological and theoretical expertise. Through such investments, we are helping shift traditional knowledge and power imbalances.

Social Traders
A Social Traders certification is the leading independent verification for social enterprises in Australia. It is awarded by Social Traders, a not-for-profit intermediary, and serves as Australia’s national standard for recognising genuine social enterprises. Social Traders certifies that a business exists primarily to achieve a social, cultural, or environmental purpose; earns most of its income from trade (not donations); and invests efforts and resources for public benefit, not primarily private gain. The process includes reviewing governing legal documents, financials, and social impact data. Certification is renewed regularly to ensure ongoing compliance.
People and planet first
Includovate has received certification from People and Planet First, signifying its adherence to global standards for social and environmental responsibility. This verification confirms that Includovate’s core purpose and business model are designed to benefit people and the planet, rather than prioritising private profit. The People and Planet First badge acts as an affordable, accessible, and globally recognised symbol, distinguishing genuine purpose-led organisations from businesses that merely use social impact language. Ultimately, Includovate’s certification means it has been independently verified as an organisation dedicated to solving social and/or environmental challenges, placing community and ecological well-being at the forefront of its operations.
